Tips & Tricks
1. How does it all work?
Once you have picked the movie you like you will see some associated links to streams hosted by third parties. Once you click on the "watch now" link, you will be redirected to the third party's website where you can stream the content you are interested in. Sometimes the movie would be fragmented into multiple parts. When this is the case, the idea is to watch each part in succession.
2. What software do I need to watch the movies?
This is the software you need to install (if you didn't already) in order to be able to watch the movies:
- Adobe Flash Player
- One of the following:
- DivX Plus Web Player (newer, more features, but slower)
- DivX Web Player (older, fewer features, but faster)
- AC3Filter (the Lite version should suffice)
3. What if I installed everything and the movies still don't play?
If you installed everything and the movies still don't play, or you get some sort of an error, you could try another version of that movie by clicking a different link (if available). You are encouraged to report broken links by clicking on "report bad link". We will try to replace bad/broken links as soon as possible.
4. Why does the movie have no sound?
Most likely you are missing the Dolby Digital codec (a.k.a. AC-3 or AC3Filter). You can use the link above to download and install it.
5. Why does the trailer not play?
In order for the trailers to play properly, you need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser and the Adobe Flash Player plugin installed (you can download and install the Flash Player plugin for your browser from the link above). Also, it is recommended that your browser is up-to-date.
6. How do I know if Adobe Flash Player is installed on my computer?
If you are able to watch videos on Youtube then Adobe Flash Player is installed on your computer. Otherwise, use the link in the list above to download and install it.
7. How do I check to see if JavaScript is enabled in my browser?
- Internet Explorer:
From the "Tools" menu, or the "Tools" drop-down in the upper right (looks like a cog), choose "Internet options". Then select the "Security" tab and click on the "Custom level..." button. Scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and make sure "Enable" is selected under "Active scripting". - Mozilla Firefox:
From the "Tools" menu choose "Options" (or choose "Options" from the "Firefox" menu in the top-left corner of the browser's window if the menu bar is hidden). Then select the "Content" tab and make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked. - Google Chrome:
From the "Tools" button at the top-right of the browser's window (looks like a wrench), choose "Options". Then select "Under the Hood" in the menu on the left. After that, under the "Privacy" section click the "Content settings..." button. Under the "JavaScript" section make sure "Allow all sites to run JavaScript" is selected. - Opera:
From the "Opera" menu in the top-left corner of the browser's window choose "Settings" then "Preferences". After that select the "Advanced" tab and choose "Content" in the list on the left. Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked. - Safari:
From the "Tools" button at the top-right of the browser's window (looks like a cog) choose "Preferences...". Then switch to the "Security" tab and make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked.
